Why can't people feel free to ask a question without getting chewed up?

isn't it fair to say that this category of filled with married people who are either being cheated on, have been cheated on, or is afraid/paranoid about infidelity? if someone dares to ask a question that some may seem to be motivated by that, then they get chewed up for wanting someone else's husband or wife, what that is clearly not the case. i had to delete a question i asked because of the attacks i got for asking it. i was totally misjudged. when will people stop being so paranoid and stop misjudging questioners on here? sometimes i think its insecurities.
